5 Steps to Project Success
The steps below were used by teachers in the Winona School district for middle and high school project science students. The steps can serve as a guide. Start with selecting a topic and do some preliminary reading and research. The documents that can be downloaded from here (Step Two), also have information that helps guides students in the writing of a project paper. A part of the fair competition that is frequently ignored at the lower levels but greatly develops students knowledge of the literature related to their experiment and most often rewards them with higher scores due to the deeper understanding of their subject.
